Michael has over 35 years of operations management experience in the high volume, high expectations semiconductor manufacturing industry.  He has led organizations as large as 200 contributors in complex, process oriented factories.  In addition to extensive hands-on experience, he has studied and successfully applied operational philosophies including Theory of Constraints, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.  Michael has a passion for improving operational effectiveness and will bring his many decades of experience to bear in order to help you achieve success in your small or medium sized business.

Michael sees operational effectiveness as a function of creating and sustaining skills to creating a "whole" organization.  While technical expertise is critical for any manufacturing entity's success, developing the people in the organization with the goal of enabling them can be the critical difference between success and failure.

As a certified Master Facilitator and Team Skills trainer with decades of experience, Michael has expertise in leading groups in problem solving, goal setting, and organizational development activities.   Teams need a common language and shared vision in how to operate which comes from the application of a set of skills and core values.  To that end, Michael has developed a set of Management and Team Skills training courses to help establish a baseline for any organization whether in the service or manufacturing industries.

Michael has an abiding confidence in the future of enterprise in the United States and is driven by the prospect of helping small to medium sized firms achieve their full potential.

 

He is a long time Chicago Cubs fan, aspiring guitarist, and enjoys playing pétanque (a French boules game).
